Zum fünften Mal schon fand am letzten Wochenende die CrossRoads Rallye in Anif in der Nähe von Salzburg statt. Ich bin der zweiten Ausgabe mit 308 GT4 dabei, denn für mich ist es eines DER Highlights des Jahres, das ich nicht verpassen will!
Die Anfahrt am Freitag war schwieriger als sonst. Seit Tagen herrscht in ganz Deutschland Gewitterwetter und so blieb ich auf der Strecke auch nicht von Blitz, Hagel und Starkregen verschont. Auch brach gleich mal der rechte Scheibenwischer ab und die Fahrt ging einarmig weiter. Wenn man nur schnell genug fährt, perlt das Wasser schön weg… Und wie immer folgt auf Regen Sonnenschein, die Stimmung hob sich wieder und so kam ich endlich am Nachmittag am Treffpunkt bei Kiska Design an und wurde mit einem kühlen Bierchen empfangen. Auf dem Parkplatz sammelten sich im Laufe des Abends Designer, Freunde und Kollegen mit ihren Blech- und Karbon-Schätzchen und freuten sich auf das BBQ, das Wiedersehen und den nächsten Tag.
Der ging früh los, denn es waren 310 kurvige Kilometer im Roadbook verzeichnet. Alexandre übernahm wie immer das Briefing und erklärte kurz die Strecke. Auch die österreichischen Geschwindigkeitsregeln, dass wir keine Tiere überfahren sollen und die Sache mit den Radfahrern. Und schon konnte es losgehen, ein Stück Autobahn, um das Öl warmzufahren, dann einen ersten schönen Schlenker über Russbach Annaberg und Niederfritz nach Obertauern, wo uns schon ein Helikopter mit Filmteam erwartete und uns den Nachmittag über begleitete, um ein paar schicke Luftaufnahmen zu machen. Wie bei James Bond! Dann weiter nach St Margarethen im Lungau, um anschließend auf die private Nockalmstrasse zu gelangen, die wir ja schon des Öfteren befahren haben. 52 Haarnadeln und zwei Pässe sorgen für reichlich Fahrspaß. Weil Fahren hungrig macht, war dort auf der Zechneralm auch die Mittagspause. Am Nachmittag führte die Strecke über die Turracher Höhe und den 1788 m hohen Sölkpass. Ein letzter Stopp im Grünen bei Edelweiß und Alpenrose und dann noch ein paar Kilometer bis ins Hotel in Schladming. Am Abend ließ uns Alexandre auf die letzten Jahre zurückblicken, pickte einige Glanzlichter heraus und ließ auch die vielen Jungs und vor allem Mädels des an der Organisation beteiligten Kiska Teams nicht unerwähnt. Auch gab es ein schönes Buchpaket für Richard und Marc von Opel, die tatsächlich bei allen CrossRoads dabei waren. Und so wurde wieder mal spät und die Nacht war viel zu kurz. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Am Sonntag war Rückmarsch angesagt. Nicht ohne am Vormittag noch mal etwas Gummiabrieb auf den 161 Kilometer Alpenasphalt zu hinterlassen. Bad Ausee, Pass Gschütt, Abtenau und dann noch über die L210 über Koloman zurück nach Anif. Etwas erschöpft, aber sehr glücklich ging es dann nach einer kleinen Stärkung, Red Bull und Kaffee zurück. Nach Mainz. Gerne komme ich im nächsten Jahr wieder!
